Notes:
Bringing the radiator forward on the Volkswagen Transporter T4 is necessary to increase the working space and access the parts located on the left side of the engine during engine repair or maintenance.
Removing the radiator forward from the engine compartment Volkswagen Transporter
1. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the three screws securing the upper radiator grill and two screws on the lower one.




2. Remove, if equipped, the headlight washer nozzles on the left and right sides.

3. Insert the special tool (3370) or screwdriver under the headlight.


4. On the left and right sides, remove the radiator grill together with the decorative frame from the T-shaped fingers, fold the grille upwards and out of the holes below.

Note:
If the pistons are damaged, replace them during installation.
5. Unscrew the bolts on the left and right sides that secure the upper radiator bar to the body (see first and second photos), as well as the bolts securing the air cooler plate to the radiator bar (see first and last photos).




6. Pull the radiator by the bracket in the middle part first up (see the first photo below), and then forward (see the second photo below). In this way, it is possible to remove the radiator forward from the engine compartment on the Volkswagen Transporter T4 without disconnecting the hoses from it.



7. Install in reverse order.
