Checking and adjusting the clutch release drive Nissan Primera 2001-2007
1. Measure the distance from the pedal pad to the floor with the pedal released. The distance should be 161-171 mm.
2. If the measured distance does not fit into the specified interval, loosen the lock nut on the pedal assembly, and then turn the stop bolt to achieve the desired pedal position. Tighten the lock nut.
Note:
For clarity, the adjustment is shown on the clutch pedal removed from the vehicle.
3. To determine the free travel of the clutch pedal, measure the distance from the starting position of the pedal to the position where an increase in resistance is felt when the pedal is pressed by hand. Free nominal travel of the clutch pedal 9-16 mm.
4. If the free travel of the clutch pedal and the distance from the pedal pad to the floor differ from the specified values, adjust the length of the pusher of the clutch master cylinder.
5. Loosen the lock nut.
6. Rotating the pusher by the flat, adjust the free travel and position of the pedal. Tighten the locknut to 7.8-11.8 Nm.
7. Apply the parking brake.
8. Start up the engine and let it run on canvas.
9. Press the clutch pedal all the way down and engage 1st gear.
10. Release the pedal gradually until the clutch is disengaged. Measure the distance with a ruler. Pedal height with the clutch disengaged is not less than 78.0 mm.
