- Temperature sensor Skoda Octavia
Note:
The outside temperature sensor of the Skoda Octavia, although located in the front of the car behind the radiator grille in a place protected from solar radiation and ventilated, is affected by factors such as warm air from the engine and radiation from heated asphalt. Therefore, his readings can sometimes be somewhat overestimated, especially after a long idle time in traffic jams. The outside temperature can be considered correct when driving at a speed of at least 40 km/h for at least 10 minutes.
1. Disconnect the wire from the "minus" terminal of the battery, as described here .
2. Remove the front bumper as described here.
3. Next, you can see the temperature sensor.
4. Press the retainer of the outdoor temperature sensor wiring harness block and disconnect the block from the Skoda Octavia temperature sensor.
5. Squeeze the petals of the sensor holder and remove the sensor from the bracket on the bumper.
6. Install the outside temperature sensor in reverse order.
