In the front part of the Astra ceiling upholstery, a combined ceiling lamp for general and individual lighting is installed. The lamp of the general lighting of the ceiling lights up automatically when the locks are unlocked with the remote control or when any door is opened, as well as after the ignition is turned off and the key is removed from the ignition switch (lock). The lamp turns off with a delay after the doors are closed or without a delay after the ignition is switched on or the doors are locked.
With the doors closed in the Opel Astra, the general lighting can be turned on by pressing the middle key. Pressing this button again turns off the general lighting.
For individual lighting of the driver's and front passenger's seats, two directional lights are installed in the combined dome light. To turn on the ceiling lamp for individual lighting, press the side button of the lampshade switch, pressing the button again turns off the lampshade.
In the rear part of the cabin, in the upholstery of the ceiling, there is a second ceiling lamp for general and individual lighting with two three-position switches. With both switches in the middle position, the dome operates in the same mode as the front dome for general interior lighting.
To turn on the ceiling lamp for individual lighting in the Opel, press the shoulder of the switch key with the designation “I”, when you press the shoulder of the button with the designation “O”, the ceiling turns off. If both switches are simultaneously set to the "O" position, the ceiling does not turn on under any circumstances.
