During operation, moisture accumulates in the cavities of the thresholds, doors and trunk lid, causing corrosion. Drainage holes are used to remove moisture, located below the thresholds (under the plastic protection of the thresholds), doors and in the trunk lid. They are constantly clogged with dirt, so clean them at every maintenance (every 20,000 km of run). When operating the vehicle on country roads, carry out this operation more often.

Useful advice

Clean the drain holes before washing the car.

You will need a screwdriver or a thin wooden stick.

1. Clean the drain holes in the front doors.

2. Similarly, clean the drainage holes in the rear doors ...

3. ... and in the tailgate (trunk lid).

4. In addition, we recommend removing the threshold protection, washing the thresholds under it and cleaning the drainage holes.
