Checking fuel injectors Toyota Corolla

1. To check the injectors, reduce the pressure in the supply system (see "Reducing the pressure in the supply system").

2. Turn out 2 bolts of fastening of mass wires to a cover of a head of the block of cylinders.

3. Squeeze the tabs.

4. Disconnect from atomizers blocks of a plait of wires.

5. Remove the harness holder from the bracket.

6. Turn out a bolt.

7. Move the wiring harness to the side.

8. Measure the resistance of the injector winding with a car tester in ohmmeter mode. At a temperature of 20 ° C, it should be 11.6–12.4 ohms.

9. If the injector winding resistance is out of specification, replace the injector as it is beyond repair.

Note:

Check the nozzle for the shape of the sprayed fuel jet and for leaks at specialized service stations, since such a check directly on the car is very fire hazardous.

Toyota Corolla fuel injector replacement

1. To replace the injectors, remove the two fuel rail mounting bolts.

2. Remove the rail by removing the nozzles from the holes in the intake pipe and without disconnecting the pipeline from the rail.

3. Remove the nozzle from the fuel rail.

Warning:

Each time you remove the injectors, replace their rubber o-rings with new ones.

4. To replace the o-rings, remove them from the atomizer and nozzle body.

5. After installing new rings, lubricate them with engine oil.

6. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
