Parts and consumables:
- Engine oil 5w30
- rags
Note:
The test is carried out with the engine off. If everything is carried out immediately after the trip, wait 5 minutes until all the oil has drained into the crankcase.
1. Open the front door on the driver's side.
2. On the left under the dashboard is the hood release lever.
3. Pull it towards you until you hear a click of the hood latch opening.
4. Raise the hood and lock it in the raised position.
5. The dipstick for checking the engine oil level in the crankcase is located near the engine compartment shield in the place shown by the arrow in the figure below.
6. Pull the dipstick head up.
7. Pull out the dipstick completely.
8. Wipe off any oil with a clean rag.
9. Dip the dipstick back into the crankcase, all the way down.
10. Carefully remove the dipstick again. On its tip there are two marks: "MIN" - the minimum level and "MAX" - the maximum oil level. The normal oil level should be between these marks, closer to the maximum.
11. If the level approaches a minimum or is below the "MIN" mark, it is necessary to add oil to the norm. Oil is poured through the oil filler neck, which is located on the cylinder head cover.
12. Remove the oil filler cap.
13. Add the required amount of engine oil.
Note:
Oil must be poured in small portions and then check its level with a dipstick. After filling, wait 2-3 minutes until all the oil has drained into the crankcase.
14. Remove any oil spills and close the oil filler cap.
