Tool:

  • Watering can

Expendable materials:

  • Coolant  G12 plus 1.5l

Recommendations:
Checking the coolant level.
The cooling system is factory filled with a mixture of water and 40% antifreeze grade G 12.
Do not mix fluids of different types from different manufacturers.
Use products from trusted manufacturers only. Remember that the use of poor quality coolant leads to costly engine repairs!

Warning:
Check the coolant level only when the engine is cold. Coolant is toxic , so be careful when handling it.
Do not fill the fluid reservoir above the "MAX" mark, as the volume of fluid will increase when the engine is running.
When starting the engine, the expansion tank cap must be closed.

Note:
The expansion tank in the Skoda Octavia is installed in the engine compartment on the right side.

1. Place the vehicle on a level surface before adding coolant. The coolant level must be between the "MAX" and "MIN" marks on the wall of the expansion tank.

2. To top up the coolant, unscrew the expansion tank cap by turning it counterclockwise.

3. Add coolant to the required level. G12plus 1.5l

4. Wrap a stopper of a broad tank.

Warning:
Screw the expansion tank cap tightly. The expansion tank is under pressure when the engine is running, so coolant may leak from under a loosely wrapped plug.
