Parts and consumables:

  • Funnel (as needed)
  • Cloth gloves (optional)
  • washer fluid
  • rags

Notes:

The manufacturer does not recommend the use of ordinary water to fill the washer reservoir. Freezing in the washer fluid reservoir will destroy it. In addition, the use of plain tap water can lead to the accumulation of salt deposits in the washer system parts and clog them.

Depending on seasonal conditions, it is recommended to fill in summer or winter liquid  in the Mitsubishi ASX washer reservoir , or distilled water, but only in summer.

Do not drive with an empty windshield washer reservoir: the normal operation of the windshield washers is the main factor in maintaining visibility on the road.

The Mitsubishi ASX glass cleaner  contains some alcohol and may ignite under certain conditions. Keep sparks or open flames away from washer fluid or washer fluid reservoir. In this case, damage to the car and the health of passengers can be caused .

1.  Park the vehicle on level ground, allow the engine to cool, and  open the hood.  The filler neck of the washer reservoir is located in the front of the engine compartment, to the right in the direction of the vehicle .

2.  The mouth of a reservoir of a washer of a windshield is closed by a cover. To add fluid, first open the lid.

Helpful Hints:

Use a brand-name anti-freeze washer fluid that does not contain hazardous methanol.

When the ambient temperature rises, do not dilute the antifreeze to save money. In addition to an increase in the freezing point, a diluted liquid has a sharp deterioration in cleaning properties.

The fact that the liquid in the glass washer reservoir must be replaced in advance is often forgotten. And as a result, the washer fluid freezes. Frozen water disables the pump, clogs hoses, breaks connecting fittings and nozzles. Remember to replace all summer process fluids with winter ones - non-freezing.
