Tools:
- Funnel
Parts and consumables:
- Motor oil
- rags
Notes:
The oil filler neck is located at the top of the engine on the cylinder head cover.
Below is the engine oil dipstick.
If the check is carried out immediately after the trip, wait 5-10 minutes for the oil to drain into the engine crankcase.
1. Remove the dipstick and wipe it with a clean cloth or tissue.
2. Dip the dipstick back into the crankcase (all the way down).
3. Carefully remove the dipstick again. The oil film level should be approximately halfway between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks.
4. If the level is below the minimum mark (or close to it), it is necessary to add engine oil. To do this, unscrew the oil filler cap.
5. We install a funnel in the oil filler neck and add engine oil.
Warnings:
If the previously measured level is close to the minimum, add oil in small portions to prevent overflow.
Before the next level check, wait 5-10 minutes for the oil to drain into the crankcase.
6. Re-check the oil level. If the level is below the standard, repeat the operation from the previous paragraph.
7. Close the oil filler neck tightly with a stopper.
Recommendations and filling volumes
The amount of oil required for a full charge (when draining and replacing the filter):
- 4.3 liters - 1.4 L engines (1ND-TV series)
- 4.2 liters - 1.6 liter engines (series 1ZR-FAE, 1ZR-FE)
- 4.2 liters - 1.8 liter engines (2ZR-FXE series)
- 6.3 liters - 2.0 L engines (1AD-FTV series)
- 5.9 liters - 2.2 L engines (2AD-FHV series)
The manufacturer recommends SAE 5W-30 engine oils as optimal for fuel economy and cold start. However, depending on the climatic conditions of the region, the viscosity may be selected differently.
