1.  Install the car on a viewing hole or lift.

2. With a 13 mm head, unscrew the bolts and remove the crankcase protection. The Nissan X-Trail rear gearbox is mounted on the rear subframe.

3.  Use a metal brush to clean the control hole plug of the Nissan X-Trail gearbox.

4.  Using a 10 mm hexagon wrench, unscrew the plug of the control (filler) hole.

5. Check the oil level in the Nissan X-Trail rear gearbox. It should be at the edge of the hole or be slightly lower. If the oil level is too low, it will need to be topped up.

2.  Using a syringe with a tube, pour oil into the Nissan X-Trail gearbox up to the lower edge of the control hole.

3.  Clean the plug from dirt.

4.  Replace the plug seal with a new one.

5. Screw the stopper of the control hole of the rear gearbox Nissan X-Trail back. Tightening torque - 35 N•m. Wipe up spilled oil with a rag.
