Hyundai Creta Coolant Level Check

Note: 

It is necessary to check the level of antifreeze regularly, for example, before each departure of the car. 

The check is carried out on a cooled engine , after parking for at least 2-3 hours. 

Do not mix liquids of different colors and different manufacturers. If you do not know the brand filled earlier, replace all the fluid in the cooling system.

Checking the coolant level in the Hyundai Creta expansion tank

1. Place the vehicle on a level surface and lift the hood. The coolant expansion tank is located at the front of the engine compartment.

The tank is labeled minimum (L) and maximum (F) . The level of antifreeze with a cold engine should be between these marks. 

Note:  
Since the reservoir is mounted on the cooling fan shroud, only the maximum level mark (F) can be clearly seen from the top of the engine compartment . Therefore, it is recommended to keep the liquid level near this mark. The mark (L) is applied much lower.

1.  Open the lid. 

2. Insert a funnel into the reservoir neck and add fluid to the optimum level. 

3. Close the lid tightly. 

Note:  
If the antifreeze drops well below the minimum level (L) , the level in the radiator must also be checked. 

Warning: 
Never open the radiator filler cap when the engine is hot! It is very dangerous! You can burn yourself with boiling liquid or steam.

1. Turn the cap counterclockwise until it stops, push down a little, turn it a little more, and remove it. 

2. Visually check the fluid level in the radiator. It should be at the bottom edge of the filler neck. 

3. If necessary, insert a funnel into the radiator and add antifreeze. 

4. Install the cap on the filler neck. Turn it clockwise until it stops.
