Adjustment and replacement of the parking brake lever Volkswagen Polo

   Details and accessories:

•    Key "on 10"
•    Socket "13"

   Note:

   Remove the lever assembly for replacement when the gear sector or pawl is worn or damaged.
   1. In the car, remove the lining of the floor tunnel.

   2. Wring out a clamp of the switch of a signal lamp of inclusion of a parking brake.

   3. Disconnect the switch from the parking brake lever.

   4.  Loosen the adjusting nut to the end of the threaded section of the parking brake lever linkage to fully relieve the rear cables.

   5. Disconnect the ends of one and the second rear cables from the equalizer by passing the cables through the equalizer slot.

   6. Turn away two nuts of fastening of the lever of a drive of a lay brake to the basis of a body.

   7. Remove the lever.

   8 .  Before installation on the car, lubricate the gear sector of the lever with grease.

   9 .  Install the lever in the reverse order of removal and adjust the parking brake system.
