Hyundai Matrix Parking Brake Adjustment

Raise the parking brake lever to approximately 196 N and count the number of clicks.

Parking brake lever travel - 8 clicks.

If the parking brake lever travel (number of clicks) does not correspond to the nominal value, adjust the lever travel by turning the adjusting nut on the parking brake cable equalizer (Fig. 6.8).

The brake system indicator lamp goes out when the parking brake lever is fully released and lights up when the lever is raised one tooth of the ratchet (click). If the test lamp does not work as specified, replace the lamp.

After adjustment, check that the rear brakes do not stick with the parking brake lever fully released.
