Raise the parking brake lever to approximately 196 N and count the number of clicks. The parking brake lever stroke is 7 clicks.

If the amount of travel of the parking brake lever (number of clicks) does not correspond to the nominal value, adjust the travel of the lever by turning the adjusting nut on the equalizer of the parking brake cable.

1. Open the armrest.

2. Pull the tab and peel the rubber mat out of the armrest.

3. Remove the bottom plastic armrest cover.

4. Remove the car from the handbrake and put it in gear.

5. Adjust the parking brake actuator while holding the pin with a wrench.

Raise the parking brake lever to approximately 196 N and count the number of clicks. The parking brake lever stroke is 7 clicks.

Pedal assembly with bracket

If the amount of travel of the parking brake lever (number of clicks) does not correspond to the nominal value, adjust the travel of the lever by turning the adjusting nut on the equalizer of the parking brake cable. The brake system indicator lamp goes out when the parking brake lever is fully released and lights up when the lever is raised one tooth of the ratchet (click). If the test lamp does not work as specified, replace the lamp.

Adjusting nut

After adjustment, check that the rear brakes do not stick with the parking brake lever fully released.
