Due to the automatic self-adjustment of the parking brake, it is usually not necessary to adjust it. Parking brake adjustment is only required if the cable, rear calipers or brake discs have been replaced. Adjustment conditions: Air from the main brake system must be removed, the brakes must be in good order. The parking brake lever, cables and holders must be fully installed.

1 . Mark the direction of tire rotation with an arrow. Loosen the wheel bolts. Raise and place the vehicle on stands.

2 . Remove the ashtray and rear seat heating control panel, refer to Removing and Installing the Ashtray .

3.  Disconnect all wire connectors.

4 . The armrest must be removed to access the parking brake cables. Unscrew the nut in the niche and pull out the armrest.

15 . Release the release button, set the parking brake lever to its original position and remove the spacers in the calipers.

16 . Use a feeler gauge to check the position of the lever on the calipers. The distance ( A ) between the lever and the stop must be between 0 and 1.5 mm. If this value is different, adjust the parking brake.

17 . Reinstall all parts in reverse order.
