PROCEDURE

1. Remove the cover of the ignition distributor.

2. Jack up the rear of the car, engage IV gear and turn the engine crankshaft by turning the crankshaft pulley bolt so that the fiber pad of the breaker hammer rests on the toe of one of the cams of the ignition distributor drive shaft.

3. Loosen the screw securing the fixed contact and adjust the gap between the contacts using a set of gaskets (see the adjustment data in the subsection "Design and technical characteristics -  Ignition system ").

4. Tighten the fixed contact fixing screw, turn the engine crankshaft a few revolutions to make sure that the gap between the contacts is correctly adjusted.
