5. Use a 10 mm wrench to loosen the positive terminal.

6. Remove and set the terminal aside.

7.   The Hyundai battery is on the shelf and is screwed to it with a pressure plate. Using a 10 mm socket   with an extension, unscrew the mounting bolt and remove the pressure plate.

8. Pull the Hyundai Crete battery out of the engine compartment.

9. If necessary, replace the battery with a new one.

10. Clean the terminals and internal surfaces of the wire terminals from oxides. Treat the battery terminals with a special cleaner.

11. Install the battery in reverse order.

12. First connect the wire terminal to the positive and then to the negative terminal of the battery.

Warning:

Reversed polarity when connecting the battery will damage the vehicle's electronic equipment.

13. Apply Vaseline or protective varnish to the wire lugs and exposed terminal surfaces.
