Note:
The ECU is the information center of the engine management system. It receives and analyzes the signals of all information sensors. Also, in accordance with the program embedded in it, it controls the operation of all executive devices. Detecting a malfunction in the engine system, the ECU switches its operation to standby mode and turns on the corresponding warning lamp on the instrument panel.
The unit is removed to replace it, to install its protection, or to perform other repairs.
Removing the engine control unit (ECU) Hyundai Creta
1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the ignition.

2. Raise the hood cover and fix it with the stop. The Hyundai Creta control unit is mounted on a bracket behind the battery.

3. Remove the negative and positive terminals, unscrew the pressure plate bolt.

4. Remove the battery.

5. Press the latch, lift the mounting bracket and disconnect the block from the connector of the Creta control unit.
6. In the same way, disconnect the second block of wires.
7. Using a 10 mm socket , unscrew 2 nuts securing the bracket to the mudguard and 1 bolt securing to the battery platform.
8. Remove the Hyundai Crete ECU together with the bracket.
9. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the 4 mounting bolts.
10. Detach the unit from the bracket.
11. If necessary, replace the Hyundai ECU with a working one. The original number is 391322B048.
12. Install it together with the bracket in place in the reverse order of removal.
13. Install the battery in reverse order. First connect the wire terminal to the positive and then to the negative terminal of the battery.
