Notes:
The intake camshaft position sensor is mounted on the rear end of the cylinder head. The design of the sensor is similar to the crankshaft position sensor.
1. Disconnect a wire from the minus plug of the storage battery.
2. Remove a decorative casing of the engine.
3. Press down on the wire harness tab.
4. Disconnect the block from the sensor connector.
5. Turn out a bolt of fastening of the gauge to a head of the block of cylinders.
6. Remove the sensor.
7. Measure the resistance between the sensor leads. If the sensor is working, then the tester readings during measurements should differ from zero and infinity.
8. If you install the same sensor that you removed, then check its o-ring. Replace a hardened or torn ring with a new one.
9. Install the intake camshaft position sensor and engine cover in the reverse order of removal.
