Note:
Signs of a throttle that is not fully closing are increased idle speed and fuel consumption. If the throttle is not fully opened, the engine does not develop full power and is not throttled enough. When driving a car, there are jerks and dips in its work.
Before removing the throttle on the Nissan X-Trail, unscrew the wire from the "negative" battery terminal with a 10 mm socket head.
Removing the throttle body on a Nissan X-Trail with an MR20DE engine
1. Place the vehicle on a level surface and lift the hood.
2. Use a 10 mm socket to unscrew the 2 screws securing the engine trim.
3. Remove from the front of the holders and remove the trim.
4. Using an 8 mm socket, unscrew the 2 screws securing the air supply sleeve.
5. Move the hose clamp with pliers. Remove the crankcase ventilation hose from the air inlet hose fitting.
6. Remove the air supply sleeve.
7. Put it aside.
8. Wring out a clamp and disconnect a block of wires from a throttle valve Nissan X-Trail.
9. When the cooling system hoses are disconnected from the throttle valves, a small amount of antifreeze may leak. Therefore, before disconnecting the hoses, place a dry cloth or a small container underneath.
10. Using pliers, slide the clamp of the upper (supply) hose, and disconnect the hose from the Nissan X-Trail throttle body.
11. In the same way, disconnect the clamp of the lower (outlet) hose, and disconnect the hose from the throttle valve.
12. Slide the clamps over the hose and remove the hoses from the fittings. Plug them in with M8 bolts .
13. With an 8 mm socket, unscrew the 4 bolts securing the Nissan X-Trail throttle to the manifold.
14. Remove the throttle valve.
15. If the Nissan X-Trail throttle body was not removed for replacement, clean it of dirt with carburetor cleaner. Wipe with a rag.
16. If the damper is defective, replace it with a new one.
17. Remove the throttle seal from the intake manifold flange.
18. Remove and wipe the grate.
19. Replace the gasket with a new one.
20. Replace it.
21. Install the Nissan X-Trail throttle body in the reverse order of removal. The moment of an inhaling of bolts of fastening of a throttle of 10,0 Н•м.
22. Reinstall all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
23. Add coolant to the MAX mark on the expansion tank.
Removing the throttle body on a Nissan X-Trail with a QR25DE engine
1. Place the vehicle on a level surface and lift the hood.
2. Use a 10 mm socket to remove the 3 engine cover mounting bolts.
3. Remove the decorative engine cover.
4. Move a collar and disconnect a branch pipe.
5. Using a 10 mm socket wrench , remove the mounting bolt.
6. Use a 10 mm socket wrench to loosen the clamp.
7. Move the air intake to the side.
8. Using a Phillips screwdriver or a 6 mm socket, unscrew the 2 screws securing the air supply sleeve.
9. Remove it.
10. Press the latch and disconnect the block of wires from the throttle valve Nissan X-Trail.
11. When disconnecting the cooling system hoses from the throttle valves, a small amount of antifreeze may leak. Therefore, before disconnecting the hoses, place a dry rag or a small container underneath.
12. Using a 6 mm hex wrench , remove the 4 bolts securing the Nissan X-Trail throttle assembly.
13. Using pliers, move the clamps of the two hoses for heating the throttle valve.
14. Slide the clamps over the hose and remove the hoses from the fittings. Plug them in with M8 bolts .
15. Remove the Nissan X-Trail throttle body along with the gasket.
16. Clean the mating surfaces of the throttle valve of the bracket from the remnants of the gasket and degrease them.
17. If the Nissan X-Trail throttle body was not removed for replacement, clean it of dirt with carburetor cleaner. Wipe with a rag.
18. If the damper is defective, replace it with a new one.
19. Replace with a new seal.
20. Install the gasket in place.
21. Install the Nissan X-Trail throttle body in the reverse order of removal. Bolt tightening torque 9 N•m.
22. Reinstall all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
23. Add coolant to the MAX mark on the expansion tank.
Throttle Learning Nissan X-Trail:
1. After all warm-ups, turn off the ignition (turn off the engine) for at least 10 seconds.
2. Make sure the gas pedal is released.
3. Turn on the ignition (key to the ON position, do not start the engine) and wait 3 seconds.
4. Within 5 seconds, quickly press all the way down and release the gas pedal 5 times.
5. After 7 seconds, press the gas pedal all the way. Hold the pedal until the yellow CHECK ENGINE light starts flashing (approximately 10 seconds) and stays on (approximately 20 seconds).
6. 3 seconds after the lamp stays on, release the gas pedal.
7. Start the engine and wait 20 seconds (if it stalls, restart).
8. Press the gas pedal 2-3 times and make sure the engine returns to normal idle (700-/+50).
