The forced airflow system ensures an even flow of air from the front of the vehicle through the sensor housing.
To organize the movement of air, the principle of ejection is used. The scheme of the ejector of the system is shown in fig. 12.9. Part of the air from the housing 3 of the climatic unit under high pressure is supplied to the diffuser 1.
At the same time, a rarefaction is formed at the outlet of the diffuser. Air is sucked into the rarefaction zone through air duct 2, the second end of which is connected to the temperature sensor housing. This ensures the constant movement of air from the passenger compartment around the sensor thermocouple.
You will need: 10 socket, TORX T20 wrench, extension cord, flat blade screwdriver, brush.
1. Disconnect a wire from the minus plug of the storage battery.
2. Turn out two bolts of fastening of handles of a drive of the lock of a cowl and the lock of the hatch of a bulk mouth to an arm.
3. Overcoming the resistance of the clamps, remove the cover of the mounting block in the car.
4. Wring out clamps and push a block of a diagnostic socket through a hole in the bottom facing of the panel of devices.
5. Overcoming the resistance of the clamps, take the lower trim of the instrument panel down.
6. Press the latch of the wiring harness block of the air temperature sensor in the cabin ...
7. ... and disconnect the block from the sensor.
8. Turn out a bolt of fastening of the gauge of air temperature in salon to the lower facing of the panel of devices …
9. ... and disconnect the sensor from the lining.
10. Disconnect the case of the gauge of temperature of air in salon from an air duct.
11. Clean the sensor thermocouple from adhering dust with a brush.
12. Check the technical condition of the sensor.
13. Install the sensor and all removed parts in reverse order.
