The throttle control pedal in an Opel Astra car is removed for replacement in case of failure, as it is a non-repairable unit and is only supplied as an assembly for spare parts.

You will need a wrench or socket "10".

1. Disconnect a wire from the minus plug of the storage battery.

2. Prying with your finger the retainer of the wiring harness of the throttle pedal position sensor ...

3. ... unfasten the latch and disconnect the block from the pedal.

4. Unscrew the three nuts securing the throttle control pedal to the bulkhead ...

5. ... and remove the pedal.

Note

Pay attention to the labeling of the pedal. Get a new pedal with the same markings.

6. Install the throttle control pedal in the reverse order of removal.
