1. Disconnect the wire from the "minus" terminal of the battery, as described here .
2. Disconnect from a forward rack the limiter of opening of a door. To do this, unscrew the screw securing the limiter to the body pillar and the two bolts securing the limiter to the end of the front door. Need keys for 10 and Torx T30.
3. Remove the corrugated protective cover of the wiring harness from the body pillar.
4. Wring out clamps.
5. Disconnect the three pads of the Skoda Octavia front left door wiring harness from the connectors on the body pillar.
6. If the door is not being removed for replacement, mark the position of its hinges on the door (for example, by tracing the hinges along the contour with a felt-tip pen).
7. Holding the front door of the Skoda Octavia door (it is better if an assistant does this), unscrew one bolt each of the upper and lower hinges to the rack and remove the door. You need a 10 key.
8. Install the front door in the reverse order of removal. Lubricate the hinge pins with engine oil and the door stop with grease.
