Removal and installation of the wheel hub and steering knuckle Nissan Primera 2001 - 2007

1.  Brake the car with a parking brake and install wheel chocks (shoes) under the rear wheels.

2.  Raise the front of the vehicle, secure it on stands, and remove the wheel.

3. Bend the cotter pin antennae of the hub nut and remove the cotter pin from the hole in the steering knuckle axle.

4.  Install the wheel on the hub, having previously removed the decorative plug of the central hole of the wheel disc. Lower the car.

Notes:

Loosen and tighten the wheel nuts and wheel hub nuts only with the vehicle on the ground.

6.  Raise and place the front of the vehicle on stands. Remove the wheel.

7.  Turn away a nut of a nave and remove a nut. 

8.  Turn out a bolt of fastening of the gauge of frequency of rotation of a wheel and take the gauge from a socket of a rotary fist.

9.  Remove the wheel speed sensor harness from the holder on the steering knuckle.

10.  Turn out two bolts of fastening of a support. Remove the caliper and hang it on a wire.

11.  Remove the cotter pin of the tie rod ball stud nut, unscrew the fastening nut and disconnect the tie rod.

12.  Bend the antennae of the cotter pin of the ball joint nut to the steering knuckle and remove the cotter pin.

13.  Turn away a nut of fastening of a spherical support.

14.  Disconnect the pin of the ball joint of the lower arm of the front suspension from the steering knuckle.

15.  Turn out two bolts of fastening of the hinge of a rotary fist to a shock-absorber rack.

16.  Turn away a nut of fastening of the top lever of a forward suspension bracket to a rotary fist. Remove the bolt securing the upper arm and swing arm pivot, and then remove the pivot arm together with the pivot.

17.  Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

18.  Check and, if necessary, adjust the wheel alignment. Use the services of workshops with special equipment.
