Battery replacement Mazda 6 (GJ). Work order:
1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and open the hood. The Mazda 6 battery is located to the left of the fuse box and behind the engine air filter housing.
2. Using a 10 mm wrench or socket, unscrew the nut of the “negative” battery terminal.
3. Remove the negative "-" terminal from the battery.
4. Using a wrench or 10mm socket, loosen the 2 nuts on the battery clamp by turning them counterclockwise. Remove the clamping bar.
5. Pull the retainer bar and two hooks "J" off the old battery, while avoiding contact with the posts or terminals.
6. Open the plastic cover of the battery positive terminal "+".
7. Using a 10 mm socket, unscrew the nut on the positive "+" terminal by turning it counterclockwise.
8. Remove the positive terminal from the battery.
9. Remove the battery cover and set it aside.
10. Pull the Mazda 6 battery out of the engine compartment and carefully place it on the ground.
Note:
To avoid acid leakage, be careful not to drop or tip over the old battery.
11. Remove all debris from the battery location.
12. Replace the Mazda 6 battery with a new one.
13. Install it on a plastic pallet in the engine compartment.
14. Lower the heat shield housing onto the new battery.
15. Reconnect the negative and positive terminals of the battery Mazda 6. Fix the pressure plate.
Note:
Try to avoid over-tightening the terminal nut because cracking the battery terminal can cause acid to leak.
16. Check the performance of a new car battery: start the engine, turn on the headlights and turn on the high beam. Remember to adjust the time on your watch and program your favorite radio stations before driving.
