Removing the intake manifold and replacing spark plugs Nissan Qashqai

Now it's time for the candles. I have already removed the intake manifold before and made sure that a regular spark plug wrench will not fit into the wells. Need an outer diameter of not more than 20.5 mm. I had to buy an extended wrench with a 14 mm and 3/8" magnet, as well as an adapter from 3/8" to 1/2".

Candles were bought on existential.

Accordingly, we begin. There is nothing complicated!

We open the hood.

Spark plug kit

Remove the decorative cover - 2 bolts for 10.

Then unscrew the 4 throttle mounting bolts. The idiotic Japanese made the manifold mounting bolt under the throttle, although it could have been done on the other side, the bolt at the back. Then you wouldn't have to unscrew the throttle at all. But we still don’t remove the coolant pipes from the throttle, we don’t drain the liquid) According to the regulations, it is necessary to remove the throttle completely, and then add coolant. Cunning dealers are unlikely to take off, most likely they do it, like me, but they take about money for coolant. Apparently, the bolt is also made so that they buy antifreeze from Nissan all the time, and dealers earn extra))

We do not disconnect the electrical connector on the throttle, the damper can be washed. Even if the connector is disconnected, everything will work on its own after connection, there is no need to "train" anything, as dealers like!

To unscrew the front bolts of the collector, it is advisable to loosen the bolts of the decorative cover brackets and turn the brackets themselves so as not to interfere.

Brackets turned.

We remove the pipes near the collector.

The collector has been removed.

When removing the collector, we are not afraid to use physical force, as well as when returning to the place. Apparently, it needs to be shifted towards the throttle for removal, but I didn’t succeed, and both times I took it off, slightly “unbending” it.

Our eyes open the cylinder head and other offal. At the same time, sand from the manifold is poured into the intake channels, we are not too lazy to clean it out.

Then we unscrew the coils, change the candles.

Old and new candle.

Repair completed.
