This is a direct tire pressure detection system. The advantage of this system is that it responds very quickly to a decrease in tire pressure.
Do not attempt to assemble this kit yourself, as to buy everything that is needed for this is not enough, you also need knowledge on the firmware of the unit.
The kit consists of:
1. Antenna, it is also a block - 3AA 907 273 D.
2. Wheel sensors - 3AA 907 275 B.
3. A set of wires.
4. New gateway - 7N0 907 530 AA
5. Connector - 8E0 971 934 A.
Installation.
For some reason, the installation reminded me of the installation of the front parking sensors - half a car was dismantled.
I started by installing sensors in the wheels. There's nothing complicated. Need a 11" socket.
I will not describe the process of disassembling the machine and laying wires, because there is no great difficulty in this. The block antenna must be mounted on a plastic screen on the right side of the rear bumper.
Connection:
- 2 pin of the block connector +12 V.
- 4 pin of the block connector - ground
- 1 pin of the block connector - CAN Ext Low - connects to 7 pin 19 of the block
- 3 pin of the block connector - CAN Ext High - connects to 17 pin 19 of the block
After the sensors are installed in the wheels, the Gateway block is replaced, the block antenna is fixed, the wires are laid and everything is connected correctly, we proceed to coding.
First, we set up the 19th block of the Gateway - there is nothing particularly complicated, we put a checkmark on those blocks that we have in the car, then in the long coding we write the code 351302 - this code corresponds to the Skoda car and the Hatchback body. Also, do not forget to activate block 65 "Tire pressure control unit".
After all our work in Maxidot, we have the following menu item:
You can choose which wheels are installed:
But the system is not ready yet. It is necessary to go to the city, or just drive, so that the sensors can adapt, this is how a car with tire pressure is displayed.
I had one inconvenient nuance. According to the correct machine, it should appear in the Machine Status, but there is nothing there. Conclusion My tidy 2010 release with the number 1Z0 920 843 K is not able to display RDKS in the status of the machine. I lowered the front right wheel and RDKS immediately warned me about the problem, while the error was shaking the wheel and the message disappeared. I am very satisfied. This is what happened after replacing the tidy:
A very handy item. Before leaving, you go into the status and see how we are doing with the wheels.
