It was decided to change the rear shock absorbers, they were foggy, the rear suspension sometimes pierced. The choice fell on TRW — value for money 3200r. for a couple. Of course, there are no unequivocal reviews on them. Who writes that they are bad, and who rides them without problems and praises. I’m not particularly worried about the rear ones if it’s not difficult to change them and you don’t have to do a similarity collapse.
In my work, I used:
- a key for 18, or a head
- WD 40 (necessarily, the bolts are firmly stuck there)
- Jack
When you assemble back, be sure to clean the threads of the bolts and lubricate with lithol.
First impressions of the TRW shocks are very good, the car behaves as it should! swallows bumps well, now the question is their survivability … I’ll unsubscribe right away if jambs begin to appear.
Old shock absorbers, judging by the stickers, are from the factory and have not been changed.
if the old shock absorber is fully compressed, it returns to its working position in 2 minutes
Bleed shock absorbers before installation
Removing the right shock absorber
After that, remove the left shock absorber
We install new shock absorbers, lubricate the nuts with graphite grease.
Tighten nuts securely
