General information about the car
The car - small middle class Chevrolet Lanos (class C according to the international classification) of the latest generation (T200) has been produced since December 2004 at ZAZ CJSC (Ukraine). It is a restyled version of the Korean car Daewoo Lanos, which, in turn, is developed on the platform of the Daewoo Nexia car. Since 2006, Chevrolet Lanos has been delivered to Russia in three trim levels: S, SE and SX.
Vehicle dimensions
Car configurations
The S package is basic, with the minimum required level of equipment, a full-size spare wheel and audio preparation (speakers, antenna and all necessary wiring).
On cars in the SE configuration, an additional power steering and a driver's airbag are installed.
The SX package, in addition to the above, includes air conditioning and power windows for the front doors.
Vehicle accessories
Cars - Chevrolet Lanos of all trim levels are equipped with a four-cylinder gasoline injection engine with a displacement of 1.5 liters, SOHC type (with one camshaft and 8 valves), with a power of 63 kW (85.7 hp) located across the engine compartment. The engine was developed on the basis of the G15MF (SOHC) engine of the Daewoo Nexia car with a working volume of 1.5 liters, but has some design differences in the ignition and power systems. Additionally, to reduce the toxicity of exhaust gases, the engine is equipped with an exhaust gas recirculation system. To comply with Euro-2 emission standards, the exhaust system is equipped with an exhaust gas catalytic converter.
body type
Body Chevrolet Lanos, type four-door sedan, load-bearing, all-metal, welded construction with hinged front doors, hood and trunk lid.
Windshield and rear glass glued.
The driver's and front passenger's seats are adjustable in the longitudinal direction and inclination of the backrest, equipped with head restraints. The rear seat backrest can be folded forward in parts in a ratio of 40:60.
Transmission
The transmission is made according to the front-wheel drive scheme with front wheel drives of different lengths. Cars are equipped with a five-speed manual gearbox.
Vehicle suspension and brake mechanisms
Front suspension Chevrolet Lanos MacPherson type, independent, spring, with anti-roll bar, with hydraulic shock absorber struts. The rear suspension is semi-independent, spring, with hydraulic shock absorbers.
The brake mechanisms of the front wheels are disc, with a floating caliper, the rear wheels are drum brakes, with a device for automatically adjusting the gaps between the brake shoes and drums. The brake system is equipped with a
vacuum booster and brake force regulators in the hydraulic drive.
Steering
The steering of the Chevrolet Lanos is safety, with a rack-and-pinion steering mechanism, a hydraulic booster is installed on some of the cars. Depending on the equipment, a frontal airbag can be installed in the steering wheel hub.
Vehicle safety
All vehicles are equipped with retractable diagonal seat belts for the driver, front passenger and outer passengers in the rear seat. A lap belt is provided for the middle passenger in the rear seat.
