Battery replacement for Kia Rio 3
1. Park the vehicle on a level, level surface. Raise the hood cover and secure it with the stop. The battery in the engine compartment is installed on the left side.
2. With a 10 mm wrench, loosen the nut on the “negative” terminal of the Kia Rio battery.
3. Remove the terminal and lay it aside.
4. Lift the protective cover of the “positive” battery terminal.
5. Using a 10 mm wrench, loosen the positive terminal nut.
6. Remove the terminal and set it aside.
7. From the bottom, the battery on the Kia Rio is attached with a pressure plate.
Using a 12 mm socket with an extension, unscrew the mounting bolt and remove the plate.
8. Pull up and remove the battery protective cover.
9. Pull the battery out of the engine compartment.
Note:
To prevent acid leakage, be careful not to drop or tip over the old battery.
10. Replace the Kia Rio battery with a working one.
11. Remove all debris from the battery installation area.
12. Install the battery on the Kia Rio in reverse order.
13. Observing the polarity, connect the wires to the battery.
