Tool:
- Wrench 17
Parts and consumables:
- New pressure sensor Skoda Octavia
- New o-ring pressure sensor Skoda Octavia
- Oil for the air conditioning system
Note:
The sensor is screwed onto the threaded fitting of the pipeline through a shut-off valve, so when removing the sensor for inspection or replacement, it is not necessary to bleed the refrigerant from the system.
1. Disconnect the wire from the "minus" terminal of the battery, as described here .
2. Wring out a clamp and disconnect a block of a plait of wires from the gauge.
3. Unscrew the sensor from the threaded fitting on the pipeline using a 17 wrench.
Warning:
When unscrewing and screwing on the sensor, use an appropriately sized wrench to prevent deformation of the sensor housing.
4. Install the new sensor in the reverse order of removal.
Note:
O-ring A on the threaded fitting of the pipeline must be replaced with a new one when replacing the sensor and lubricated with oil for the air conditioning system before screwing on the sensor.
Note:
Check the condition of the sealing surface on the sensor body. The surface must be clean and smooth. If there are signs of corrosion, the sensor will have to be replaced.
5. If necessary, check the refrigerant charge of the air conditioning system in a specialized center for servicing automotive air conditioners.
