Note:
Cretu has a three-phase alternating current generator with electromagnetic excitation, a diode rectifier unit and a built-in voltage regulator.
Generator replacement for Hyundai Creta
1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the ignition.
2. Raise the hood cover and fix it with the stop. The generator is mounted on the front wall of the cylinder block on the left side.
3. Use a socket head or a 10 mm wrench to disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
4. Press the latch and disconnect the block of wires from the Hyundai generator.
5. Use a flathead screwdriver to press the latch and open the protective cap.
6. Use a 12 mm socket to unscrew the fastening nut.
7. Remove the wire tip from the output of the Hyundai Crete generator.
8. Use a 12 mm socket or wrench to loosen the lower alternator mounting bolt.
9. Turn out a bolt of the top fastening.
10. Turn the adjusting bolt to loosen the drive belt tension.
11. Remove the belt from the alternator pulley.
12. Finally turn out bolts of fastening and remove the generator from the car.
13. Examine its condition. If necessary, replace the Hyundai Crete generator with a working one.
14. Reinstall it in the reverse order of removal.
