Replacing the radio with a Skoda Rapid

1. Remove the panel with a plastic card.

2. With an asterisk T15, unscrew the 4 bolts that hold the plug. 

3. Unscrew and remove the plug.

4. The radio tape recorder is non-standard, so you will need another adapter frame.

5. We assemble the frame (two ears are attached to the front frame), then we fasten the radio.

Note:

First you need to remove the radio from the frame in which it goes in the factory box. And the factory front frame also needs to be removed from the radio.

6. Let's move on to connections. We just plug in two plugs: brown and black.

Note: 

But with the antenna you need to have an adapter - since Rapid does not have a standard connector. The adapter must be with a wire for power, since the antenna in Rapid is active (requires power). Usually such adapters have a silver "capacitor".

7.  It is necessary to swap the yellow and red wires in the connection to the radio, otherwise all settings will be erased after the ignition is turned off.

The ignition is switched off completely when the key is removed. The color of the backlight changes to any.
