We change the engine oil in accordance with the maintenance regulations. We carry out work on a viewing ditch or overpass. We carry out the replacement on a non-working warm engine, it is better immediately after the trip, until the oil has cooled down.
Warning: Use oils recommended by the manufacturer.
1. Remove the oil filler cap.
2. From the bottom of the car, we clean the oil pan around the drain plug from dirt.
3. We loosen the drain plug with a “8” tetrahedron.
4. We substitute a wide container for draining used oil with a volume of at least 4 liters and, having unscrewed the plug manually, drain the oil.
Warning: Be careful, the oil is hot.
Note : To prevent oil leakage from the oil pan, a thin layer of rubber is vulcanized on the surface of the washer hole
. A steel washer is installed under the plug.
5. We examine the puck. In case of damage to the rubber seal of the washer, replace the washer with a new one.
Note : In the absence of a new standard washer, a copper washer with a hole diameter of 18 mm can be installed under the plug.
6. Drain the oil for at least ten minutes.
7. We wrap and tighten the drain plug.
8. We remove oil drips from the engine crankcase and protection of the power unit.
9. When changing the oil, the oil filter must be replaced.
10. We substitute the container under the oil filter.
11. Turn off (counterclockwise) the oil filter. If this cannot be done manually, loosen the filter with a puller.
Note: in the absence of a puller, we pierce the filter housing with a powerful screwdriver (closer to the bottom so as not to damage the engine fitting) and unscrew the filter using a screwdriver as a lever.
12. We clean the filter seat on the cylinder block from dirt and oil drips.
13. Fill the filter with new engine oil about half its volume and apply engine oil to the filter o-ring.
14. We wrap the oil filter by hand until the sealing ring comes into contact with the cylinder block.
15. Turn the filter another 2/3 turn to seal the connection. Pour 3.3 liters of engine oil into the engine through the oil filler neck.
16. Close the oil filler cap.
17. We start the engine for 1-2 minutes. We make sure that the indicator of insufficient (emergency) oil pressure in the engine has gone out in the instrument cluster and there are no leaks from under the drain plug and filter.
18. Stop the engine. After a few minutes (so that the oil has time to drain into the oil pan), we check the oil level and bring it to normal.
19. If necessary, tighten the oil filter and drain plug.
