Note:
Before replacing the rear wiper motor on a Nissan X-Trail, you will first need to remove the wiper arm and tailgate trim.
Removing the rear wiper arm Nissan X-Trail
1. Place the car on a level surface, and turn off the ignition.
2. Place wheel chocks under the wheels.
3. Use a flathead screwdriver to remove the cover from the wiper arm.
4. Use a 10 mm socket to unscrew the lever mounting nut.
5. Remove the rear arm along with the wiper blade from the Nissan X-Trail motor axle.
Note:
If the lever is strongly stuck to the axis of the gearmotor, you can use a special puller to remove it.
Removing the tailgate trim Nissan X-Trail
1. Raise the luggage compartment lid.
2. Turn the door light switch to the OFF position.
3. Pry off the cover with a flat screwdriver and remove it from the door trim.
4. Disconnect block and remove a plafond of lighting.
5. Pry with a flathead screwdriver and pull out the 2 holders.
6. Pry with a flat screwdriver, remove from the holders and pull the inner handle out of the tailgate trim.
7. Pull towards you, remove from the latches and remove the upper trim element.
8. In the same way, remove the side trims from both sides.
9. Using a flat screwdriver or a plastic spatula, pry off the lower part of the door trim around the entire perimeter, until all of its holders (12 pcs.) Leave the door panel.
10. Remove a covering of a door of a luggage carrier in gathering.
Nissan X-Trail rear wiper motor replacement
1. Use a flat screwdriver to pry the retainer and disconnect the wire block from the Nissan X-Trail wiper motor.
2. Use a socket head or a 10 mm wrench to remove the 3 motor mounting bolts.
3. Remove the Nissan X-Trail rear wiper motor assembly, removing its axis from the door hole.
4. Replace the wiper motor with a working one.
5. Reinstall the Nissan X-Trail rear wiper motor in the reverse order of removal.
6. Establish a covering of a door of a luggage carrier in an order, the return to removal. Press it against the door until the holders are fixed in the holes.
7. Install the rear wiper arm so that the edge of the brush matches the lower thread of the heated rear window. Tighten the fastening nut to a torque of 8 N•m.
8. Turn on the ignition and check the operation of the rear screen wiper.
