The manufacturer officially recommends the Suzuki Engine Oil brand.

Changing engine oil and filter Suzuki Alto

We warm up the engine to operating temperature. We put the car on an observation deck, pit or overpass.

If this is not possible, use a jack with racks.

2.  Open the hood and unscrew the filler plug.

We install a container of at least 4 liters under the drain hole of the engine crankcase.

Using a 14 mm wrench or head, unscrew the crankcase drain plug. We are waiting for the oil to completely merge into the container.

Set the container aside.

Using a universal puller or by hand, unscrew the oil filter.

Note:

If there is no special key or similar puller, we pierce the filter housing with a screwdriver and, using it as a lever, turn it as close to the bottom as possible so as not to damage the fitting. You can also use a strip of coarse sandpaper folded in half, wrapping it around the filter and moving it out of place with your hands.

We wipe the place where the filter is attached from traces of oil with a clean rag.

Replace the Suzuki Alto oil filter with a new one.

Lubricate its rubber gasket with fresh oil.

Install the new filter in place. Wrap by hand and without tools.

We clean the threads of the drain plug and wrap the plug.

We pass into the underhood space. Pour engine oil into the Suzuki Alto engine.

Using the pointer, check the oil level. It should be between the two holes corresponding to the  MIN  and  MAX marks.

Screw on the oil filler cap.

After completing the oil change procedure on the Suzuki Alto, start the engine and let it idle for 3-5 minutes.

Then we check the engine oil level again, and top up if necessary.
