Hyundai Creta engine oil and filter change
1. Install the car on a viewing hole or overpass.

2. If available, remove the engine crankcase protection: use a 13 mm
spanner to unscrew 5 bolts of its fastening (3 in front and 2 in the rear).

Note:
It is not necessary to remove the engine mudguard. It has special holes that allow access to the drain hole and filter.

3. In the engine compartment, turn counterclockwise and unscrew the oil filler cap.

4. Put it aside.

5. Use a 17 mm
spanner to loosen the drain plug.

Warning:
Be careful! The oil is hot!
6. Place an empty container with a capacity of about 5-6 liters under the engine crankcase.

7. Finally unscrew the plug and wait until the used engine oil is completely drained.

Note:
Some drivers additionally pump out the remaining oil using a syringe and tube.

8. Use a special puller to loosen the oil filter.

Warning:
Be careful! Oil may spill!
9. Then unscrew the filter by hand to the end and remove.

10. Replace the Hyundai Creta oil filter with a new one.

11. Wipe the mating surface on the cylinder block and the mounting fitting with a clean rag.

12. Apply fresh engine oil to the filter rubber o-ring.

13. Screw the Hyundai Creta oil filter into place and tighten it by hand.

14. After draining the oil, clean the drain plug.

and put a new sealing ring on it.

Note:
The sealing ring must be replaced with a new one after each screw is loosened.

15. Wrap the plug with a torque of 35-44 N•m.
16. Go to the engine compartment. Insert a funnel into the filler neck.

Pour Hyundai Creta engine oil into the crankcase, checking its level on the dipstick.
Recommendation:
Do not fill in all the required amount of oil at once, as the old oil may not drain completely. Top up first about 2/3 of the total volume, and then, after checking the level, bring to normal.
17. Screw on the oil filler cap tightly. Wipe up spilled liquid with a clean cloth.

18. Start the engine and check that the emergency oil pressure warning light is no longer on (it should go out within a few seconds).

19. Check for signs of oil leakage from the drain plug or oil filter.
20. Stop the engine and check the oil level on the dipstick. If necessary, bring it up to standard.

21. Reinstall the engine crankcase guard.
