Nissan Qashqai Front Hub Bearing Replacement

You will need: a key "for 18", "for 32" and pliers.

Note:

The front wheel hubs are replaced as an assembly with bearings, since the hubs are not collapsible.

1. Brake the car with a parking brake and install wheel chocks (shoes) under the rear wheels.

2. Raise the front of the vehicle and place it on secure stands.

3. Remove the front wheels.

4. Unbend the cotter pin of the hub nut.

5. Remove the cotter pin from the steering knuckle axle hole.

6. Install the wheel on the hub, having previously removed the decorative plug of the central hole of the wheel disk. Lower the car.

WARNING:

When loosening the hub nut, the vehicle must be on the ground! Loosen and tighten the wheel nuts only with the vehicle on the ground.

7. Loosen the front wheel hub nut.

8. Raise and place the front of the vehicle on stands. Remove the wheel.

9. Turn away and remove a nave nut.

10. Remove the front wheel brake caliper without disconnecting the brake hose from it, and secure it on the coils of the spring (see Replacing the front wheel brake caliper).

11. Remove the brake disc (see Replacing the front wheel brake disc).

12. Turn out 4 bolts of fastening of a nave to a rotary fist (for clarity the drive of a forward wheel is removed from the car).

13. Remove the Nissan Qashqai front hub.

14. Install the hub and all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.

15. Check and, if necessary, adjust the wheel alignment. Use the services of workshops with special equipment.
