Notes:
If oil is leaking from under the cylinder head cover, you need to replace the gasket by following the steps described below.
1. First, disconnect the ignition coil connectors and remove them. How to do this, see the first part of the article .
2. Unscrew the valve cover bolts using a wrench with a nozzle and disconnect the upper pipe.
3. Remove the cylinder head.
4. Remove the old gasket, and clean the sealant from the seat (you may need a clerical knife).
5. Then wash the gasket seat with a parts cleaner and wipe with a degreaser (acetone, etc.) using a rag.
6. Install a new gasket, smearing the place of contact with the head and block with sealant. Then wipe off excess sealant with a rag.
7. Put the valve cover in place and tighten the mounting bolts in accordance with the manual (the order in which the bolts are tightened so that the cylinder head does not "lead").
