Note:
According to routine maintenance, the Kia Rio 3 cabin filter is replaced every 15 thousand km. run. But under more severe operating conditions, a more frequent replacement is recommended (after 8-10 thousand km).
Where is the cabin filter installed on the Kia Rio 3
The air intake filter is located behind the glove compartment, on the passenger side.
Replacing the cabin filter Kia Rio 3
1. Open the glove box and remove all contents from it.
2. 2 plugs are installed on the walls of the glove compartment. Turn these plugs counterclockwise and remove.
3. While holding the glove compartment, lower it down.
This will open access to the Kia Rio cabin filter housing.
4. Press down on the sides of the filter cover tabs and snap them out.
5. Remove the cover.
6. Pull out the Kia Rio cabin filter cassette.
7. Remove the used filter element from the cassette.
8. Replace the Kia Rio cabin filter with a new one.
9. Insert the new filter back into the cassette.
Note:
On Kia Rio, the direction of air flow goes from top to bottom. Arrows are marked on the side surface of the filter. When installing the element, their direction must match the direction of air movement in the system.
10. Install the new cabin filter in the reverse order of removal.
