In accordance with the maintenance regulations, the replacement of the fuel filter located outside the Renault Logan / Sandero fuel tank must be carried out after 120 thousand kilometers. Such a fuel filter was equipped with cars with 8-valve engines manufactured before 2009. Given the low quality of domestic gasoline, we recommend replacing the fuel filter more often - every 45 thousand kilometers.

Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the fuel module cover connector.

When the engine is running and for some time after it has stopped (approximately 2-3 hours), the fuel in the fuel supply system is under pressure. Therefore, if we replace the filter after a short period of time after stopping the engine, it is necessary to relieve the fuel pressure in the system. Open the cover under the rear seat cushion.

We start the engine and let it idle until it stops due to running out of fuel. Then we turn on the Renault Logan / Sandero starter for 3 - 4 s, after which the pressure in the fuel system will be relieved. Disconnect the wire terminal from the "negative" terminal of the battery. Since fuel remains in the fuel pipes and filter, we substitute a small container under the filter.

The fuel filter is attached to the fuel tank in the front part on the right.

Squeezing the two latches (red) of the tee tip, remove the tee tip from the filter fitting.

Similarly, from the other filter fitting, remove the tip of the fuel supply pipe to the filter.

We remove the filter from the clamp and drain the remaining fuel from it into a container.

The arrow on the filter housing must match the direction of fuel flow.

Install the new filter in reverse order.

We put the tips of the tee and the fuel pipe on the filter fittings until the latches snap into place. We connect the wiring harness block to the fuel module cover connector and the wire terminal to the "negative" terminal of the battery. To fill the system with fuel, turn on the ignition. In this case, the sound of the operating fuel pump will be heard for 2-4 s. When the pump turns off, check the tightness of the tube and filter connections. We replace the tee and fuel pipe with damaged tips, faulty clamps and a filter with a leaky housing with new ones.
