Replacing the brake pads of the rear wheels of the Chevrolet Lacetti 2004 - 2013

All the work was carried out almost a year ago, and even an article was started on this subject, but it was never finished on time. I correct this defect and present a small report on the rear brake mechanisms of our car.

It was decided to change the rear brake discs, brake pads and parking brake pads (handbrake) along with the cables and guides of the rear calipers on your car, so to speak, if you take it, do it thoroughly.

As with the front brakes, I chose the discs from TRW with part number DF7381.

Next in line are the brake pads and rear brake caliper guides.

I have already written in detail about the selection of the back of the brake pads in my personal blog. For myself, I chose pads with construction number GM 96800089 from Sangsin of the Hardron HP1257 series.

Let me remind you that pads with these article numbers have been installed on cars since 2007.

I took the original guides, that is, GM 93740287.

I bought the pads from GM with part number 96496764.

Handbrake pads can also be purchased non-original, for example, from ABS with article 9220, in which case their cost is much lower.
You should be careful when ordering these pads, as suppliers with a GM construction number in most cases give incorrect analogues. Instead of parking brake pads, drum brake pads can be purchased.

I also purchased the parking brake cables from GM - for some unknown reason, the cost of third-party brands is higher than the original ...

PS: The price of the question indicated at the end of the post is relevant for today's date (June 2014), a year ago these spare parts cost me much cheaper. And the price does not include the cost of work, since everything was done independently with the help of a friend.
