Note:
The parking brake is actuated by two separate rear cables. Replace them in case of excessive stretching (impossibility of adjusting the parking brake) and mechanical damage to the cable strands or its sheath.
The operation is shown on the example of the left rear cable. The right cable is replaced in the same way.
1. Disconnect the equalizer from the front ends of the rear cables.
2. Position the vehicle on a trestle or inspection ditch and chock the front wheels. Loosen the wheel bolts with the vehicle on the ground. Raise the rear of the vehicle using a jack and secure it on jack stands.
3. Remove the rear wheel from the side of the cable being replaced.
4. Turn away seven plastic nuts of fastening of a protective casing.
5. The nuts are fixed in the holes of the casing and remain on it.
6. Wring out a screw-driver clamps of the holder of a cable on a body.
7. Bend the holder bracket.
8. Remove the cable sheath from the holder.
9. Remove the brake drum.
10. Disconnect the end of the cable from the expansion lever.
11. Remove the cable from the support hooks on the rear suspension beam arm bracket.
12. Remove the cable from the supporting hooks on the body.
13. Remove the cable sheath from the hole in the brake shield.
14. Disconnect the parking brake cable from the wire bracket and pull it completely out of the aluminum guide.
15. Install the parking brake cable in the reverse order of removal.
16. Similarly, remove and install the second cable.
17. Adjust the parking brake system.
