Everyone has long known the problem of oil separators on the Audi A4 B8 with gasoline engines. They are recommended to be changed every 60 thousand mileage, due to the loss of elasticity of the rubber membrane, or even its drying out and simply failure. We know all this, as well as the fact that this leads to even more trouble - an increase in the pressure of crankcase gases, which in turn leads to unstable engine operation at idle, and in a more neglected state of the problem, to extrusion of the crankshaft rear oil seal ( flange ). This pressure is also affected by the entire system of tubes included in the oil separator.
So, let's start replacing the o-rings in the MO pipes, since they are not sold separately, so I picked up their numbers by size! We need 2 small rings, 14x2.5 mm and one larger one, 28x3.5 mm. Suitable for these parameters: MAN 06.569.360.747, BMW 11 43 7 794 698, VAG N 906 424 01 and the one that is larger - VAG N90806302
The photo shows that the old rings have already shrunk.
old and new
The replacement itself is not difficult, with the exception of replacing the nozzle in the MO with a small ring, on my MO it was very difficult to enter.
the old ring is still in place
it was hard to fit in this place
From the side of the turbine, it is enough to unscrew one bolt and pull the pipe to the side
the arrow indicates the old ring
just put in a new one
It will not be superfluous to change the gasket under the oil filler cap,
its number is 036115111B
the old one is already gone
And that's it! Assemble in reverse order! The cost of these procedures is small, it takes a little time. Good luck everyone and have a great week!
