Note:
The interior handles on the front and rear doors of the car are changed in the same way. An example is shown on the front door.
Before replacing the inner door handle on a Nissan X-Trail, you will first need to remove the door trim .
Removing the front door trim Nissan X-Trail
1. Place the car on a level surface, and turn off the ignition.
2. Using a 10 mm wrench, disconnect the wire from the "negative" terminal of the battery.
3. Open the front door.
4. Gently pry off the power window and mirror control unit with a screwdriver or spatula (wrap a rag around a flat screwdriver).
5. Remove from the 7 latches and pull the block out of the door trim.
6. Wring out clamps and disconnect from the block 3 pads.
7. With a flat screwdriver, carefully pry the decorative trim of the door trim for a special groove.
8. Remove from 9 holders and remove the trim.
9. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the 2 screws securing the trim.
10. Remove the plug.
11. Using a 10 mm socket wrench, unscrew the trim fastening screw on the inner door handle.
12. Pull the casing by the lower edge towards you and remove it from the 9 holders (if necessary, pry the casing with a flat screwdriver, placing a rag under it).
13. Move the trim aside.
14. If a lighting cover is installed on the front door trim, disconnect the block from the cover.
Replacing the interior door handle Nissan X-Trail
1. From the inside of the casing, remove the sheath of the lock key cable from the body and disconnect its tip.
2. Also disconnect the second drive cable from the inside door handle of the Nissan X-Trail.
3. Remove a covering of a forward door.
4. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the 3 screws securing the inner handle to the Nissan X-Trail door trim.
5. Remove the handle.
6. If necessary, replace the Nissan X-Trail interior door handle with a new one.
7. Establish the internal handle and a covering of a door in an order, the return to removal.
