- Rags
- Funnel
- Engine oil
Note:
Before checking the oil level after driving, stop the engine and wait 5-10 minutes until the oil drains into the crankcase.
Check the level by placing the vehicle on a level, horizontal surface.
Top up with oil of the same grade, viscosity and quality class as the one used previously.
The oil level in the engine crankcase must not exceed the "MAX" mark.
The oil level indicator (dipstick) B is located at the front of the engine compartment and the oil filler plug A is located on the left side of the cylinder head cover.
Checking the level and adding oil to the lubrication system engine of the Hyundai Accent
1. Remove the oil dipstick and wipe it with a clean cloth and reinsert the dipstick.
2. Remove the oil level indicator again. The oil film level should be between the L and F marks. If the oil level is close to or below the L mark, add oil.
3. To add oil, turn the oil filler plug counterclockwise and remove it.
4. Fill the engine with oil, checking the level indicator (dipstick). Wait two to three minutes to allow oil to drain into the crankcase before removing the pointer.
Note:
When adding oil, do not allow its level to rise above the “F” mark.
After the oil level has reached the required level, tighten the filler cap. Remove oil spills with a clean cloth.
WARNING:
If the emergency oil pressure warning lamp remains on after starting the engine or lights up while driving, stop the engine immediately and check the oil level. If the level is normal, the emergency oil pressure sensor, engine, or oil pump pressure reducer may be faulty.
USEFUL TIPS:
It is convenient to use a funnel to make it easier to add oil. If there is no funnel for adding oil, you can make a funnel from the neck of a plastic bottle.
