Tool:
- Mounting blade
Notes:
Car suspension diagnostics should be carried out on a flat platform, overpass or inspection ditch, but in no case on a lift. Otherwise, the Fiat Doblo suspension will be loaded, and you will not be able to determine the malfunction of the ball joints.
1. Visually inspect the front suspension parts. Front suspension parts should not contain deformations, cracks and other mechanical damage that affect the shape and strength of the parts.
2. Using a spudger, check the lower control arm pivot joint for play.
Notes:
If play is detected, replace the rubber-metal hinges (silent blocks). Remember! A belated replacement destroys the contact points of the hinges, and this is fraught with a complete replacement of the elements of the front suspension arm.
3. Check up a backlash in articulated connection of the steering lever and a nave.
Notes:
If necessary, replace the front upper control arms, being sure to pay attention to the camber adjustment marks on the arm.
4. Check the wear of the rubber-metal hinges of the front suspension anti-roll bar using a mounting spatula.
Notes:
If there is play in the active stabilizer when the paddle is pressed, the anti-roll bar bushing must be replaced.
5. With a mounting blade, check the elastic element in the stabilizer bar bracket.
Notes:
If wear is found, replace the elastic element of the stabilizer bar bracket.
6. Check up an elastic element in an arm of the lower cross-section lever of a forward suspension bracket.
Notes:
If necessary, replace the elastic element of the lower transverse arm bracket.
7. Using a mounting spatula, check the wear of the rubber-metal hinges at the attachment point of the front suspension arm to the front transverse beam.
Notes:
If necessary, replace the silent blocks of the lever or the entire lever assembly.
8. Check the integrity of the anther of the front outer CV joint, because even a slight damage to the protective cover can disable the wheel drive.
9. Similarly, check the integrity of the four protective covers (anthers) of the rear wheel drives, as shown in the photo.
10. Check up on existence of cracks a protective casing of the steering mechanism.
Note:
If the protective covers are damaged, replace them immediately.
11. Use a spudger to check for wear on the motor mount.
Notes:
When the pillow has lost its shape, cracked or moved away from vulcanization, or its steel elements are deformed or cracked, the threads on its fasteners are torn off, it must be replaced.
12. Using a spudger, check for play in the leaf spring attachment to the rear axle.
13. Check the integrity of the rear suspension buffer.
Notes:
If damage is found, the rear suspension buffer must be replaced.
14. Check up wear of the rubber-metal hinge of a pin of the shock-absorber of a back suspension bracket.
Notes:
If a noticeable play is found, replace the rubber-metal hinges.
