Toyota Camry 2001 - 2006 car engine. General information

The 1AZ-FE in-line, four-cylinder, 2.0-liter displacement, with two overhead camshafts in the cylinder head and 16 valves, was developed on the basis of the 1AZ-FE engine of the modern RAV4 model.

The 2AZ-FE engine, in-line, four-cylinder, 2.4 liter displacement, with two overhead camshafts in the cylinder head and 16 valves, is developed on the basis of the 2AZ-FE engine of the current Previa model.

These engines have been optimized for performance, fuel efficiency and exhaust emission reduction and feature the following features:

• equipped with a PS starter with integrated planetary gear;
• meets the requirements of European standards STEP III;
• equipped with an intelligent electric throttle control system ETCS-i;
• equipped with an intelligent valve timing system VVT-i;
• equipped with an intake manifold with channels of increased diameter and length;
• equipped with a balancing shaft.
