- Spark plug
- High voltage wires of the ignition system
Notes:
If the engine stalls, for troubleshooting, check the components and mechanisms in the sequence described below.
1. Check up adjustment of frequency of rotation of idling on a regulator. Perhaps the problem is in the connector. If the problem persists, remove the regulator and flush the idle valve in it with WD-40. Then wipe the regulator gasket dry with a rag and reinstall the regulator.
2. Then check the fuel filter for clogging or foreign particles in the fuel system. Replace clogged filter element.
3. Check up components of the distributor of ignition. They may be wet or damaged. Therefore, wipe dry with a rag if there is moisture on them or replace the ignition distributor.
4. The oxygen sensor (lambda probe) may be faulty. Replace it with a new one. Contact the service center for a more thorough check by specialists of the components of the exhaust system for troubleshooting and troubleshooting.
5. Check spark plugs for wear or incorrect gap. How to remove candles is written in the first part of the article here . Then check the gap of each spark plug with a spark plug gap gauge. Replace defective spark plugs with new ones.
6. Faulty high voltage spark plug wires can also cause the ignition system to become unstable. Therefore, check the wires for cuts, breaks, etc. Replace defective high voltage wires.
7. Check the fuel injection system, intake manifold gasket, air control valve and vacuum hoses for possible vacuum leaks. You may have to contact a service center for a complete diagnosis of the fuel supply system.
8. Valve clearances may be incorrectly adjusted. To check, unscrew the timing cover and measure the clearance of each valve. Adjust if there are deviations from the standard specified in the manual.
Note:
Adjust the thermal gap only on a cold engine. To start the adjustment, set the first cylinder to a dead center according to the marks on the pulleys.
